What Our Hosts Are Saying

GreenFaith Boulder County has hosted two showings of Fracking the System, one last fall and one this spring. It's an incredible film about ordinary people pulling together in extraordinary ways, showing up at a time in our collective moment on earth with courage, conviction and much love. The film has given our community inspiration to work together for climate justice at the local level and we hope everyone in Colorado and beyond gets a chance to see it. Brian and the others who have participated in panels are a joy to work with, and the process was simple and straightforward. We highly recommend hosting a showing!

Being able to put on screenings of 'Fracking the System' for communities across Colorado has been a significant boost in our organization's organizing efforts! Brian's clear and inspiring storytelling of the oil & gas wars in this state has moved a number of people from concerned bystanders to really engaged organizers; whether that's to stop fracking in Colorado, improve our air quality, or organize in frontline communities that are feeling the impacts of fracking worse, people have to act after they see this film because they understand what's at stake. Having an incredible tool like this in the long journey of healing the world is no small thing, and we are so grateful for the partnership and opportunities to share it and work with Brian to do so!

The film is excellent and spellbinding! We hoped to get attendees excited about contacting their state senators and legislators about the dangers of fracking during the legislative season, and many told me they were going to do just that after seeing such an eye-opening film. We had a tremendous turnout of about 100 attendees, the most we've had for any of our educational speaker/film events. Attendees were very impressed with Director Brian Hedden's knowledge and activism during the Q&A after the film, too. I highly recommend you host a screening for your community!
